Ecology Reflection
During this project there were many techniques that I used to help me complete this project to the fullest. Some of these techniques were evaluating and thoroughness in the project. Evaluate is a big technique because if my project isn’t evaluated then it won’t look as nice as it should and many errors will be present. Thoroughness is also key because if the project isn’t thorough and thought outy then it won’t be at the best quality it could be. The two most important things I did to help make my project successful was put in extra time out of school so that the project could have more work done to it. Some difficulties I came across when working on this project was trying to find the right data for my question. Maybe I didn’t look hard enough but it was pretty hard to find good results. Some assumptions that I made is that I would be finishing all my work when I needed to. On some days I had more work to be done then I thought I would be able to finish it all. So it took a couple extra days of work time to make it perfect. Some things I learned from this matter was that I shouldn’t procrastinate because it affected my grade a lot. If I were to do this project again there would be a lot of things that I would have done to improve my project. First, I would have gone to the projects exhibition. On the day of the projects exhibition I wish I wouldn’t have been sick so I could show off my beautiful wor to everyone around me. Second, I would have taken more time on my infographic so that it met all of the A grade expectations.
Some implications that I learned from this project that I can use in my future is the ability to make infographics online. Now that I’ve completed this project I have the skill of being able to make an infographic. Later in life I am going to have to make infographics to prove my point or show my data. Another implication that I will use later is the ability to gather data from other sources to answer my question and prove my point. The ability to gather data and use it is awesome and will help me go far in my future. Some skills I wish I had before starting this project would be the skill of making thoughtful questions. My question for this project wasn’t as thorough as it could have been. Next time I am going to think of a more in depth question to use. The activities of this project mashed very well with my learning style. I love the freedom of choice and being able to create a question and research data for it. I also really like infographic part and being able to make our own infographic. Having participated in this project will change my approach on future projects by being more aware of the work I have to do and when it needs to be turned in. I also will approach the research part differently because I did not find the data I needed.
